Established on August 5, 2006, the
HEIRS TO THE FUTURE INSTITUTE is a non-profit organization set up to develop social projects aimed at giving back the self-esteem to children victims of domestic violence through mental health, educational, cultural and leisure programs.
Psychologist Rosemary Naomi Setokushi Ferreira and social worker Cinthia Carvalho, both with considerable experience in treating children victims of domestic violence in public institutes as well as in non-government organizations were the creators of the
HEIRS TO THE FUTURE INSTITUTE. This work came up as an answer to the incapacity by public administration organizations as well as by charities to shelter and follow-up children under risk situations, to give an efficient treatment through a new proposal aimed at providing a continued and free psycho-social attendance through able professionals in adequate, clean and pleasant facilities, with the use of efficient therapeutical techniques and top-quality didactic material.
